Mug Shot and Apple Cinnamon Rolls

The house has settled down and become very quiet.  Parents are back in Alaska.  Children have gone back to their homes.  Christmas decorations are tucked away and we are now into a new year.  It's a very bittersweet day.

I recently realized without any true understanding that I have developed a favorite "mug of the day" for my coffee throughout the week.  Odd, isn't it?

These are all my coffee mugs/cups...in order from Sunday through Saturday.  Each one of these have a very special meaning to me and story that goes with them...what I now affectionately call my "mug shot".

To warm us up on this very chilly winter morning, I made these fun spin on cinnamon rolls.  My husband loves anything apple, so why not marry the two.  So easy and the perfect accompaniment to your coffee.

Apple Cinnamon Rolls

1 can Pillsbury 8-count cinnamon rolls (regular size, not Grands)
1 can apple pie filling

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Spray muffin tin with non-stick baking spray.

Push cinnamon rolls into each tin opening and fill with apple pie filling.

Bake 15-20 minutes.  Drizzle the frosting packet included in cinnamon rolls over the baked apple cinnamon rolls.
